I use a zettelkasten for personal knowledge management to act as my second brain. To make this work, I follow this philosophy.

After a few years of using it, I noticed I added too many notes without organizing them. It became a mess in which knowledge got lost. So I learned and improved and try to cultivate better habits.

For those who are curious about the technical setup: I have written my own scripts to export this as a website, create PDF’s and more, but I primary use Obsidian for writing. I have a few rules to keep things organized, but I try to keep them as simple as possible.
