As Organization Coach, I am often asked to deliver an organization design in order to meet the demands of a changing world or to solve a wicked problem. However, I believe it is more effective to teach organization design skills.

“Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime”

As such, I coach organizations in the capacity for continuous improvement. While I offer advice, I cannot pretend that I have the expertise to design a perfect solution - because no single person can. I believe we need both expertise as well as deep local, contextual knowledge. Therefore, I facilitate a proces of co-creation with everybody involved - from employee to CEO - to discover the best solution, together.

“The best solutions are not designed - they are discovered”

I create spaces for dialogue and discovery, in which insights turn into action. In the beginning, we conduct small experiments to learn by doing if a solution is effective. When it succeeds, we embed and scale. When it fails, we learn and try again (in such way that is safe for people and organization).

Besides organization coach, I am also a professional coach, trainer and consultant. Currently, I work for public organizations such as municipalities and universities. I am passionate about regeneration, wanting to contribute to a healthy relation with our planet earth.

My strengths are empathy, nonviolence, sharp observation and analytical thinking. I am often known for my ability to visualize complicated and complex matters, and make them understandable for others.

My style is progress-focused, compassionate, systems-thinking and including what happens here and now.

My methodological underpinnings are Agile, Lean Startup, Nonviolent Communication, Dialogic Organization Development, Theory U, Appreciative Inquiry, Art of Hosting, Sociocracy 3.0, Open Space Technology en de 5 kritieke succesfactoren van coaching. They share a compassionate, humanistic, presence-based, complexity-based and social constructionism perspective on the world.

I am a certified professional coach and certified ICAgile instructor and experienced life coach.
